I did fists of fire and arm strength… loved the combo! Is there a longer fists of fire progression?

Hi! I’ve been doing yoga for about 6 months, and still feel like I am either not strong enough in my upper body, or am doing wrong form for chataranga (sp?). Do you have any suggestions? I feel like I should be able to do it. Thanks.

I love doing yoga and there are always new things to learn, I have been doing it for the last 5 years and I am still learning new ways of doing things. It is great for toning and all round body conditioning, love it! Learnt some new techniques from this video, thanks!

You have a very trained body, I’m guessing from the yoga. Your videos are very helpful! Keep it up!

Hi there,

Yoga will lean you out more as is strengthens, but stretches the muscle, It’s your best bet–go for it!

I just want to know if this will help you to carry your own body weight? I really want to be able to do a pull-up/chin-up, but I have very little upper body strength.

for strong arms

sadienardini January 26, 2012 at 1:17 am

Hey!
There is totally hope. You work your arms and core strength by trying to get into these poses 100 times, and one of those times, you’re going to surprise yourself. Get ready to change your story about those arms from “weak” to “I’m getting really strong!” …really soon:) As they say in yoga…”repetition is magic”.
Keep me posted!

My ultimate aim Bakkasana (crow pose). My arms are xtremely xtremely weak and have given up hopes of getting to do a head stand or for that matter my favorite pose Bakkasana… I will try these and let you know how it goes… so My birthday present is gonna be a back bend and bakkasana. Of coarse my long time final goal is Vrichikasana (I fantasise about this pose…. and only dream to do it but with my arms strengthened maybe … jsut maybe there is a ray of hope…. will let you know
